Before Planning Your Wedding

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday! This is where I am going to post once a month to keep you up to date on how the wedding planning is going and what tips & tricks I’m learning along the way.
Vlad & I decided to get married THIS summer so it leaves us under six months to plan our wedding. Today I’m sharing those first few steps you need to take before actually planning your wedding.

Step One: Talk with your Fiance about a few things, communication is so important when planning your wedding so it best to start our on the same page. Try and decide what works best for you both

When do you want to get married?
Summer wedding venues generally book up quicker then those in fall or winter so keep that in mind when making your decision.

How many guests will you invite?
Do you want a small intimate wedding or larger more extravagant wedding? Remember: It’s up to you!

What’s your Budget?
Be realistic & honest, remember your wedding is important but you don’t want to break the bank for every single detail.

Step 2: Go to a Bridal Show! Now that you’re on the same page it’s time to do your research. A bridal show it a great place to start, it will have all the best vendors in your city all in one place so you can gather a lot of information at once. Take a flyer or package from everyone, you never know a photographers availability so helps to have as many options as possible.

*Also bring sticker labels with your Names, wedding date or general time of year your interested in & an e-mail address. I made the mistake of putting my phone number and I am still getting calls.

Leave a comment below if you have any wedding tips or advice, I’d love to hear from you!
