The Canadian National Exhibition is always a sign in Toronto that summer is coming to an end. It runs the last two weeks of August and closes Labor Day evening. It has become an end of summer tradition for my Mum and I to go, we love sights, sounds and smells the the Ex has to offer. There’s something for everyone at the CNE wether it’s shopping, midway rides & games or the great shows and entertainment they have.
My personal favourite is the all the delicious and different foods they have, weather it’s a classic funnel cake or bloomin’ onion to deep fried red velvet Oreo. The Ex has it all, this year I was excited to try Bacon Nation’s “Bacon Wrapped Grilled Cheese”.It was incredible! The bacon was so thick & crispy on the outside and a perfect blend of cheddar and mozzarella, perfectly melted inside. So Yummy!! I also enjoyed a funnel cake with ice cream and strawberries while watching the West Coast Lumberjack show. All and all it was a really fun day with my Mum!
Something to remember because all the food can get expensive, consider going Monday throw Thursday after 5p.m. and tickets are really cheap! Like $6 (except Labour Day)
Leave me a comment below of your favourite summer memory or ritual or if you went to The CNE what foods you tried! I’d love to hear from you!
