30 BEFORE 30 – My New Year Resolutions

Hello again & welcome back to MRL!

Wow, it’s definitely been a while since I posted on here and you’re probably reading the title and thinking ummmm hello it’s February you’re a little late for New Year’s resolutions. But let me start by saying it’s never too late and by asking: Who has actually kept their New Year’s Resolutions so far? That’s what I thought. Not many of us do, so, here’s your shot at a second chance. This year I’m trying something new. I’m ditching the negative vibes by not calling them resolutions anymore. I’m only setting positive intentions for 2019 and to me “resolutions ” implies that something is wrong or needs fixing which feels way too judgmental. 2019 is also going to be an iconic year for me because I’m turning 30. So in honor of my thirtieth birthday, I really want to push myself to try things that are out of my comfort zone or that make me feel uncomfortable. Life is all about new experiences and adventure and I want to take charge and do as much as I can before I’m thirty! So I put together this list of 30 things I want to do before I’m thirty.

The first few were easy to come up with. One specifically was to take a week off social media. On January 1st I deleted Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Facebook, from my phone and spent that time evaluating what was really important to me. I seriously loved it! I got so much more done each day and got to do all those random little things I had been putting off. It gave me an opportunity to evaluate what’s really meaningful and what truly brings me joy. It was also a lot easier than I thought it would be and I actually I ended up extending the week into two weeks. It was a much-needed break and gave me time to come up with the rest of my list so without further adieu here is my list of 30 things I want to do before I am thirty:

Join me by creating your own list of things that you want to accomplish this year that will help you grow and bring you joy! Leave me a comment below of something you want to do or try this year, I’d love to hear from you.
